Victorious Living

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57.

Christians do not have to live with a defeated mentality, but should always live with a victorious attitude.

The Lord Jesus Christ’s triumph over death was the greatest victory ever. Since the beginning of time, no one has ever conquered death. It is a cruel and ruthless enemy which has defeated everyone. But the good news is that those who are in Christ will be in victory with Him. Mortals will be transformed into immortality (1 Corinthians 15:53-54).

Since we know that we have triumphed over death in Christ, we should not feel defeated today. It is unavoidable that we may lose a few battles here and there in this life, but it is important to always keep in mind that we have won the war in the end. Let us be strong in the Lord always, having the victorious attitude, fighting the good fight of faith each day, knowing that the victory is already ours.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, please lift us up from discouragement into your victory. Amen.

Dear God, thank-you for taking away the many fears and the many pains of death from a few of my Christian patients. Their faces were peaceful, Lord, they accepted the pains of death as if it were nothing. I remember a Christian lady; she was like an angel to me. In a way, she had shown me that by Your power , by Your victory over death, Lord, Christians shall not be fearful of sickness and death, because we are your children. You have saved us from the consequences of our sins, death, so that we may live with You forever. Help us to remember this so that when that hour come, we can say, “I am ready

ready”, and instead of wasting our energy on fears and regrets, we should save our last breath for praising you as David had praised you, ” I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart. I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High (Psalm 9:1-2).
